Hey, there! I'm a neuroqueer therapist who's passionate about working with queer and neurodivergent individuals and relationships. I do my best work with adult-diagnosed and self-diagnosed neuroqueer folks who feel as though they need a therapist with lived experience who can understand them and help them find tangible ways of coping, healing, and thriving. I tend to work with autistic folks, ADHDers, bipolar, disabled folks, queer individuals and relationships, mixed-neurotype relationships, trauma, shame, and the overly-self-aware.
My approach to therapy is always collaborative and always affirming. I pull from queer and narrative theories, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and EMDR and somatic processing. I believe that you are the expert in your life and that people are not problems - the problem is the problem and together we can find effective ways of contending with it.
Outside of client work, I like engaging in my special interests – reading fantasy and becoming emotionally attached to fictional characters, napping with my three cats, making art, and finding joyful ways to move my body. I love spending time with my chosen family and friends, info-dumping with my partner, and being active with my local library and reading groups.
